Folks DVD 1992 For Sale Tom Selleck Don Ameche

DVD Synopsis and information:

Jon Aldrich (Tom Selleck) is a well healed Chicago broker and a caring husband who is suddenly forced to head off to Florida to help his father (Don Ameche) when his mother tales ill. When Jon's parents home burns down he has to take in his parents and then the real comedic journey begins for the audience. If you have  or have had an elderly parent you can certainly relate to this movie. There are lots of funny and even some tender moments. Tom Selleck displays fantastic comedic timing throughout this film. This is truly a zany comedy with a style all its own. Selleck is bewildered as to how to approach and begin to deal with his parents at this stage in their lives. The anamorphic widescreen DVD of Folks looks terrific.

You will laugh out loud throughout the movie. The comedy and story hit home for many of us who have had to take care of our elders. Laughs are really bountiful but there are touching moments to enjoy as well. FBI surveillance and creepy family members are all part and parcel to this hazardous parent-sitting romp that now becomes his sole focus and his Folks may be the most dangerous thing he has to face. Don Ameche and Tom Selleck are simply terrific together ans exchange many wonderful comedic and dramatic nuances throughout the films. A great comedy from the early 90s not to be missed. This is a must own title for Tom Selleck and Don Ameche fans.
